Gee, I have enough disk space to save everything; what I worry about is the hard drive crashing and losing it all. I think the disk backup is probably the most important issue.

Keep up the good work, Marsha.

Every Monday, I go through my Sent Mail folder. I delete messages I sent to staff the week before that I don't need to save (appointment acceptances, news stories I circulated, etc.) I also delete e-mails I sent to customers that are more than a month old. I ordinarily save these to our customer database when I send them, so a backup exists if I need it. In this way, I keep the sent mail beast somewhat tamed.

Wow, that was great insight and valuable information. Will keep me focused on size of emails I save and whether I can delete or save attachments on my hard drive before adding to my Outlook files. Sure appreciate the wisdom you shared!
